The best way to bring new life into a local church is with new believers (in Jesus). How can your church become externally focused? What are some tried-and-true ways for a community of believers to reach out into their town or city? This class will be a practical symposium on ways your church can do evangelism together.

GOALS:

  • To gain fresh vision and motivation for reaching the lost.
  • To leave with how-to ideas for helping his or her church work together in evangelism.
  • To begin to think freshly about how his or her church can be Great commission focused.

WHO WILL BENEFIT:

  • Pastors who want to help their churches become externally focused.
  • Leadership teams who want to model a new passion for reaching the lost.
  • Any christian who yearns to be a part of a church that is impacting its neighborhoods.

JIM BROWN has been the Senior Pastor of Grace Community Church in Goshen, Indiana, for 10 years. Jim and Grace Community Church are known in Goshen and throughout the FGBC as an community of people that are passionate about sharing Jesus with others. He and his wife Anne have three children, Joshua 14, Hannah 12, and Isaiah 7. Jim and Anne have been married for 18 years. Jim has a AS, BS, MDiv degree from Grace College and Seminary. He has served on the BMH board, as moderator of the Heartland District, chairman of the Heartland Ministerium, is presently member of the CE National Board and is the 2007/2008 moderator of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. He has been involved in 2 GO teams (Cambodia and Vietnam). Jim spends his free time coaching, basketball, baseball, softball and football teams and is an avid runner. He loves to read and to ride his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
