Facilitators: Jeff Bogue and Bob Combs
Bob combs and Jeff Bogue address relevant leadership principles and styles that will help in the midst of a changing culture, including leading multigenerational congregations working with diverse worship styles, transitioning a church from an established leader to a younger leader.
GOALS:
- That the student will recognize the needs of people in the pew.
- That the leader will understand the pain and reluctance to be led from the pew.
- To see the potential to provide vision and direction to fellow strugglers in our spiritual journey.
WHO WILL BENEFIT:

ROBERT COMBS is a graduate of William Jennings Bryan College in 1965 with a B.A. in Bible . In 1996, he graduated from Grace Theological Seminary with a M.Div. He has 43 years of pastoral experience, 33 years being at Grace Church in Norton, Ohio. For 38 years he has been Junior Camp Director. Robert served as Director of Grace Brethren North American Missions from 1992-1994 and from 1999 to the present. He has served on Grace Brethren Fellowship Council and was twice Moderator of N.E. Ohio District Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. He was recognized as Pastor of the Year in the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches in 1988 and was the Moderator of the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches in 2003. He has travelled to parts of Europe, Central and South America, Israel, Jordan, Egypt, the CAR and Cameroon. Robert has been married for 43 years to Julie Combs. Together they have four children and eight grandchildren.
JEFF BOGUE is a graduate of Grace College in 1993 and Grace Seminary. He is the director of an Akron, OH outreach event that has reached nearly 100,000 people with the gospel of Jesus Christ. He has been adjunct professor of ministries at both Grace College and Washington Bible College. Jeff was named staff person of the year in the FGBC, “Who’s Who” in American Colleges and universities and outstanding young leaders in America three years in a row. He is a member of the CE National board of Directors, travels as a speaker and trainer of leaders. He is founder and present national director of the 412 Commission. Jeff is presently lead pastor of Grace Church of Greater Akron, a congregation of nearly 2,500 people in Akron, Ohio. His proudest title is that of husband and daddy. He is the husband of Heidi, and the father of his five children: Josiah, Isaac, Micah, Gabriel and his little Princess Naomi with their sixth child to be born in December, 2006. |
