Faciltators: Dave Plaster and James Joiner
A theological study of God and Scripture that explores the essential foundations for a christian worldview. The course will cover: Prolegomena and World view, Bibliology, Revelation (general and special), Inspiration, Inerrancy, canonicity, Theology Proper, The Nature of God (attributes), The Activity of God (sovereignty, problem of evil, providence).
GOALS:
- To gain biblical and practical understanding of God’s Word, God’s Nature and God’s Activity.
- To marvel at the greatness of God and His word.
- To be better able to understand and teach the Bible.
WHO WILL BENEFIT:
- Any christian who wants a deeper foundation for his or her faith and for their understanding of Scripture.
- Small group leaders, church Elders or Spiritual leaders, Pastors, Young christians, Mature christians
- Anyone who asks “Why do I believe?”

DR. DAVID PLASTER is professor of Theology and vice president for academic affairs at Grace Theological Seminary. He holds a Diploma from the University of Lyon, France; a B.A. from Grace College; an M.Div. and Th.M. from Grace Theological Seminary; and a Th.D. in Systematic Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. Dr. Plaster has served for twelve years in three different pastoral settings. He has taught college and seminary courses for approximately 19 years. He is also the author of two books and several journal articles.
JAMES JOINER is the chaplain at Grace college and teaches in the religious studies department. James has served as a college and youth pastor in the local church. As chaplain James’ responsibility is to provide leadership and direction in the area of spiritual formation. His passion is to see the hearts of students captured by God’s grace, their desires reordered by His love, and their minds refocused by His truth. James Joiner is a former agnostic who converted to Christianity while in college. He has earned three masters degrees: an M.A. in Theological Studies from Grace Seminary; an M.A. in Apologetics from Biola University; and an M.A. in Philosophy of Religion and Ethics from Talbot School of Theology. He studied under J. P. Moreland and William Lane Craig and interned with Ravi Zacharias. He is a member of the Evangelical Philosophical Society and the Society of Christian Philosophers.
