Today’s generation of young people supposedly have an attention span of three to seven minutes. They are also known as the consumer generation, and are technologically connected like no other generation. come and learn about this highly interactive generation known as “the millennials.” In this highly interactive eight hour session the participants will learn: The differences between this generation as well as past generations. How to connect and interact with this generation in a way that will benefit you in your professional life. What makes this generation amazing. Why disconnects occur between churches and organizations with this generation.

JIM SWANSON, PhD (ABD), M.A., LMHC is the Vice President for Student Affairs at Grace College and Seminary. His passions include reading, research, music and helping today’s college students find and understand their life calling. Jim has a B.Mus. from William Tyndale College and has a M.A. in counseling from Eastern Michigan University. Jim is currently finishing his PhD in Higher Ed. Administration at Western Michigan University, in Kalamazoo, Michigan. Jim is also a professor in the behavioral sciences department specializing in marriage and family and addictive disorders. Jim has been at Grace College for 13 years in administration and prior to coming to Grace College served as a professor at William Tyndale College and as a private individual and family therapist at Christian Family Services in Southfield Michigan. Jim’s background also includes experience in contract management with the ServiceMaster Corporation. He and his wife Patti reside in Warsaw, Indiana and have three children, Johnathan (12), Timothy (9) and Katie (5).

E.SCOTT FEATHER is the Associate Dean of Students at Grace College and the Director of Grace’s Center for Character and Leadership Development. Scott is a 1995 graduate of Grace College with a degree in Biblical Studies and a 2001 MDIV graduate of Grace Theological Seminary. He is has been greatly blessed with an amazing wife, whom he has been married to for 9 years, Jodi and the proud father of two children, Raylee (5) and Camden (3).
