|
C5 |
Facilitator: Tony Webb
In our world today incredible claims are made about spiritual gifts. Examining spiritual gifts and spiritually gifted people in order to maximize our church’s effectiveness can be exciting. Hoping to build fences around God’s truth, Tony Webb will lead the study, focused on Ephesians 4: . Our fence building will hopefully help us “corral” the truth. May God bless us as we delve into these concepts to see more team building and gift diversity within the local church and our districts of churches to help us to accomplish as much as possible for our Savior!
"FENSES" we are seeking to build:
- We are going to look at spiritually gifted people vs spiritual gifts - Eph 4 forces us to look at gifted people not just gifts.
- We will eExamine Ephesians 4 and look carefully at the apostle, prophet etc and what they did and are. We will do the best we can to understand this team building Paul describes here.
- Have the sign gifts ceased in our day or are they continuing? We will examine this issue and how the apostle and prophet at fit in this mix.
- What is team building? How can we do it and what steps we can take? What issues exist that hinder team building? We will look at ways to work through these issues..
- We will also discuss movement development and dream about what God may be doing in our midst.
GOALS:
- To interact with the issue of spiritually gifted people.
- To find contentment about their own gifting through our discussion together.
- To enjoy the benefits of team building in their own personal lives and ministry to maximize ministry effectiveness.
WHO WILL BENEFIT:
- Every pastor who desires to engage more with this important topic of spiritually gifted people.
- Every person who desires to place himself in an environment to learn more on this important topic.
- Any person/ministry leader who is burdened with putting a round peg in a round hole; gleaning insight from his or her spiritual oversight to impact others.
- Those who wish to build teams: not only in their own church but beyond their church into other churches for maximum effectiveness, exploring how we can do more and better together.
