Director of Children's Ministry: Grace Church of Lititz, PA. We are looking to fill a full time position to give oversight to our children's ministry (nursery- 4th grade) and to volunteers of this ministry. We are currently a church of 1,600 in weekly attendance and have approximately 475 children in our Children's Ministry. This position will serve as part of our Children and Student Ministry Department under the Pastor of Children and Student Ministries, Doug Kegarise. This director will work with him to providing a comprehensive plan for children's ministry in line with the church's overall mission and vision plan. This plan will include a workable discipleship model that has tangible goals set for the future of this ministry that works towards providing a discipleship continuum that flows from children's ministry, to student ministry, right into our adult small group ministry.
Position Summary:
The Director of Children's Ministry (DCM) will build, equip, and lead a team of volunteers to run programs for nursery through 4th grade, providing resources, training and encouragement. The DCM will be responsible for ensuring that all volunteers adhere to the Child Protection Policy of Grace Church and will develop ministry goals that are in line with the mission and vision plan of Grace Church. The DCM will be directly responsible for weekly programs for nursery, toddlers, Elevate Jr. (Pre-school) and Elevate (Grades K-4) as well as special events throughout the year focusing on evangelism and outreach. The position will be supported administratively and pastorally.

Youth/Family Pastor: Oversee our youth program to include all youth related programs as well as children ministries. Other duties that this position will oversee includes: VBS, AWANA, Nursery, Children church, Children's church, youth conferences. Senior Pastor: Cedar Rapids Grace is located in a neighborhood in NE Cedar Rapids on the corner of D Ave and 29th St NE. There are approximately 13,000 people within a one mile radius of the church building and 145,000 within a five mile radius. The largest age group is between 29-49 with 30% of the population. The population is 88.7% Anglo and 4.2% African-American. The Hispanic population is small but is the fastest-growing segment of the population. The population is projected to grow by 4.2% between 2010 and 2015. Education levels (high school and college degrees) are above national averages. The median house value is $91,000.
If you walk or drive around the church you will see hundreds of middle-to-lower income homes and lots of kids toys. We have a unique opportunity to be a neighborhood church that impacts lives. Our building is not large but it is convenient to the neighborhood.
We would like to reach young families in our neighborhood. In the past decade our congregation has grown older, smaller and tired. We need a fresh vision and a fresh start. We have some mature disciples of Jesus Christ that can be a valuable tool in discipling new believers. However we do not have the evangelists or leadership to reach our neighborhood. Without this fresh start we will likely cease to exist in the next 10 years and a great opportunity to reach a neighborhood will likely be lost. We are willing to do whatever it takes as long as it is Biblical and grounded in the Great Commandment.
Our future pastor will love people, have evangelistic gifts, and be able to shepherd and honor the current church family. He and his family will probably move into our neighborhood and will likely need to supplement his income with a part-time job. He should have a solid foundation in the Word but not necessarily a seminary degree. Preaching skills are important but so are people skills and the ability to reach people for Jesus. Ours is not a heavily programmed church. There is not a lot of administrative overhead to care for. The building is in good shape. Our future pastor can enjoy a strong people focus.

Senior Pastor: Our church is seeking full-time Senior Pastor.
Sunday morning attendance has been averaging about 160 adults. We are located 30 minutes east of Altoona, Pennsylvania and 20 minutes north of Johnstown, PA. The setting is rural with many of the members working in professional and semi-professional employment. The youth group currently has 40 students attending with dedicated volunteer workers continuing to serve with enthusiasm. The AWANA program continues to thrive and the Christian School teaching Pre-school thru 12th grade enrolls approximately 100 students. The style of worship on Sunday morning is a blended service with enthusiasm toward contemporary Christian music while maintaining a positive response to the traditional hymns of the church. The people strive to meet the needs of each generation as strong women's and men's Bible study groups meet weekly as laypeople serve as the leaders. The record of pastor retention has been 10 years for each of the last two pastors. The current Interim Pastor will not be applying only because of teaching responsibilities at Penn State and his flourishing Christian recording studio. His is in love with the church and its people and has been sent by his home church to stay until the new senior pastoral candidate arrives.
The church has NO mortgage on the church, Christian school or the newly built family center. If giving is a sign of a healthy church, this church is healthy.
