The Rosemont Grace Brethren Church of Martinsburg, WV is seeking a full time Associate Pastor in the area of youth ministry and Christian Education. The major emphasis of his ministry will be in the development of a youth program,(recruiting, teaching, and discipling of teens), the training of youth leaders, and overseeing the Christian education program of the church in conjunction with the pastor. Ghent Grace Brethren Church, Roanoke, VA, is seeking a senior pastor who loves God, loves His Word, and loves people. Ghent is a well-established urban church affiliated with the Fellowship of Grace Brethren Churches. Our church family currently consists of approximately 60 members with a median age in the mid-forties and an average attendance of 70-80. We are diverse in ages, economic status and racial ethnicity. Core characteristics include open membership and a balanced worship approach. Our people love God’s Word, are accustomed to strong biblical teaching, and are committed to growing together spiritually and reaching out creatively to the world around us to share the love of Christ. Our open participatory leadership structure is built around commissions emphasizing key areas of ministry, with chairs sitting on Leadership Council. A team of Elders has oversight of the spiritual direction of the church, while Leadership Council oversees the business affairs and governance of the church. The pastor leads the Elders and attends Leadership Council meetings. The ministries of Ghent include Sunday School for all ages and a worship service and Children’s Church on Sunday morning; programs for children, youth and adults on Sunday evening; and Women of Grace women’s ministry. Nineteen percent of our annual budget goes to missions and a number of members have participated on short-term ministry teams. We are seeking a pastor who is a mature believer committed to a godly life and personal spiritual growth, is the spiritual leader in his home, practices a strong dependence on prayer and the Holy Spirit, and is an effective communicator and teacher of biblical truth and its application to life. He must be strong in relational skills, able to minister to those within our church family while leading us in reaching needy people outside the church. He should have a minimum of three to five years previous experience either as a senior pastor or associate pastor. A seminary graduate is preferred.
